Erection problems (impotence) are very common, particularly in men over 40.
Most men occasionally fail to get or keep an erection. This is usually due to stress, tiredness, anxiety or drinking too much alcohol, and it’s nothing to worry about.
If it happens more often, it may be caused by physical or emotional problems.

The launch of Cialis in the UK is not a random event.
The drug is part of a new treatment regime for erectile dysfunction (ED).
The plan is to start by addressing the underlying causes of ED and to conduct a series of clinical trials, in both men and women, to further establish the benefits and risks of the treatment.
Cialis will not be released until 2023 and it will be available to buy in the UK from pharmacies only.
It will be recommended that men with ED take more than two tablets a day.
Patients with mild to moderate ED will have a lower chance of receiving the treatment.
The drug will only work in the presence of psychological or physical stimuli such as stress and anxiety. It will not cause physical symptoms such as erectile dysfunction.
“ED can affect men of all ages, and this is why many men are reluctant to talk to a GP about it,” said Dr Laura such as herself.
“Cialis is not about treating everything, it is about providing men with the support they need to feel normal and confident in their abilities.”
The drug will be introduced to the market in the UK in early 2023.
A spokeswoman said: “We are very pleased to announce that Cialis is now available to purchase in the UK from pharmacies.
“Our hope is that this launch of Cialis will help to reduce the stigma associated with this treatment and will increase awareness of the serious benefits of treatment for erectile dysfunction.”
